Donations

In the Donations program, I don't see anyplace to donate an amount to the Educational Fund or specific Humanitarian needs in honor of a recently deceased relative.
What is the current method to do this? Thank you.

The Educational Fund was removed because they already have enough to meet their needs. The Humanitarian Fund is still there.

You could put something in the Notes section of the donation, but that's just a note to yourself. It doesn't change the donation.

If by "Educational Fund" you mean the Perpetual Education Fund then that category is not available for donations in online Donations application. It and the Temple Patron Assistance Fund were removed in May 2018 from the online Donations application. The Church announced that "The generosity of Church members and others has led to sufficient levels of donated funds to the Perpetual Education Fund and the Temple Patron Assistance Fund. As a result, members are encouraged to select other categories for their ongoing donations." Donations to these categories can still be processed through wards or branches by way of the paper Tithing and Other Offerings slip.

There is no ability to make donations to specific local needs such as "specific Humanitarian needs in honor of a recently deceased relative" through the online Donations application. If your ward or branch has made provisions for this in the past you will need to contact your bishop or branch president concerning local efforts to provide assistance.
