print blessing certificate for a child of record

Post by bill5467 »

A 6yr old child never had his blessing certificate printed when he was blessed. How canI print his blessing certificate now?

First question is, does the child have a membership already? If so, you should be able to print it from there, but the system will not have the name of who did the blessing, so you will need to ask the family for that information as well as the date it happened.

If there is no membership record you will need the family to fill out the proper form authorizing the creation of a child of record membership. Then you can print the certificate.

Either way, the current ward will show on the certificate, not the ward it happened in, unless they are the same.

I have a child that was just blessed in the ward. They have a membership number in LCR. When I try to print the certificate again it asks for all the information and when I put that in and click view certificate, it pops up a new tab and says not found. Is there a way to get the certificate reprinted?

It sounds like that might be caused by the cookie build-up problem. If you're using LCR in a web browser, please try private/incognito mode. If that helps, please clear your browser's cache and delete relevant cookies. Or, at your option, you could just clear the cache and delete cookies without trying private/incognito mode.

If clearing the cache and deleting cookies does not solve the problem, you might have found a bug. Walking through your steps with a stake clerk might be useful in case you might be doing something slightly off the paved path while interacting with LCR. Otherwise, a call to GSD might be a good next step.

I believe it may be a bug. I am having the same issue trying to reprint a blessing certificate for a family. I tried using the ward PC as well as at home and receive the same "not found" error. I will try again tomorrow.
