Sealing Clearance Technical Question
I just met with my Bishop today to follow up on my clearance to be sealed to my wife. She is going through a sealing cancellation process, and there seem to be no hiccups there, but when my Bishop tries to submit the form for my sealing clearance (I believe that's what the form is for), it says he can't because I still need to do something. (My Bishop reached out to my ex to give her the opportunity to provide feedback. No response, but I doubt that is the relevant detail.) The message doesn't say what I have to do. So, I said, OK, I'll go onto lds.org and see if I can figure out how to do whatever it is that's needed. The trouble is, I can't find anything relevant. I have no idea where to look to find out what I might need to do that the form seems to think is missing. Does this make any sense? Is there an email that might have gotten lost, or is it likely that it's just a part of the form that the Bishop and I haven't filled in yet?

Re: Sealing Clearance Technical Question
I'd suggest having the bishop call GSD to get details.

Re: Sealing Clearance Technical Question
Doesn’t the stake president submit the request after the bishop does? The bishop should follow up with him.
The bishop should know what the message is asking for.
The bishop should know what the message is asking for.

Re: Sealing Clearance Technical Question
It usually means something on the form or in your record still needs to be completed by your bishop or stake, not you directly. There isn’t a member-facing task on Church websites for sealing clearance. Best step is to ask your bishop to check the form again or escalate to the stake clerk/president, who can see what detail is missing or contact Church headquarters if needed.
