See Message Recipients:

Post by tonynocchi »

When sending a message to members through LCR, is there a way you can see that specific message recipients were included and that they received (the message didn't bounce back due to an error)? I am getting a confirmation that the message was sent but it doesn't list any of the pertinent info needed for tracking purposes.

Theoretically if it bounces you will get a notice of same. However, sometimes messages seem to bounce without a notice, or perhaps the member just thinks they did not get the message. There are a lot of variables.

If the ISP has grown suspicious that the sender is a spammer, they may sinkhole the message without giving any bounce message to the sender.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Okay, but do you know of there is a way to also see who the recipients for that message were after send was hit? Trying to avoid the "you never sent it to me" response before it happens.

None that I know of. I think you can see it before hitting send. Might have to copy and paste it.

"I just select the group and hit send. Did you remove yourself from "Local Leader Email" in your subscriptions?"

My point, is it really on you to make sure everyone is listed?

So part of this has to do with food orders and putting some accountability on the members...which means removing excuses. My wife is using LCR to send messages to the people who need to order food because there are occasionally some changes to the process, pickup dates, and order periods. She just wants to make sure that she is covered because unfortunately some people don't like to accept responsibility when they forget or miss a deadline.

Right now, it looks like our best option is to use her Gmail, create a group of food order recipients using labels and then BCC those recipients.
